The Middlesex County Family Justice Center opened its doors in December 2020 thanks to a commitment from County government, law enforcement, legal services, and social service agencies. Initial funding from a Middlesex County grant was secured by the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office and covered the cost of the space. In 2021, Women Aware secured a four-year $1 million grant from the U. S. Department of Justice Office for Violence Against Women.

As the lead agency among FJC partners, Women Aware manages daily operations and fundraising for the Family Justice Center.
